WHAT THE STANDARD IS: While our focus is on children, in a variety of instances our interventions also directly impact adults. In these instances we track and count the children and the adults as beneficiaries (though we may sometimes quote only “children” or “kids” affected).  Examples of those adults affected by our programming include elderly living at residential sites (common in China), teachers at school sites, administration at all sites, and adult students at school sites.  For the avoidance of doubt, a beneficiary is a specific individual at a site regardless of which intervention or how many interventions occur at the site.
