Site Descriptions

WHY: Site Descriptions help Splash build trust and increase support for our work by providing insight into the need and context of our interventions. Site descriptions are one of the many Salesforce fields regularly used by the Development team to engage with donors. These fields, alongside site photography and other programmatic information play an important role in our external communications, fundraising, and engagement efforts.

WHAT: Splash has identified two types of information to successfully emphasize the need for our intervention at a specific site:

  • Physical and Demographic
  • Pre-Intervention WASH Conditions

For each new Splash site, both sections must be completed in Salesforce within 30 days of child club training.

For guidance on what each field should capture as well as an example of the kinds of details that are helpful, please visit the following article in the Salesforce Tutorials:

HOW: It is recommended that this information be collected during the site engagement process. If initiating work at sites serving kids from the same cultural background and/or with similar WASH pre-intervention conditions, it is acceptable to enter very similar descriptions in Salesforce as long as they’re accurate.

WHO: Site Descriptions are to be completed by members of the Project Team for "their" sites.

WHEN: The Site Description section in Salesforce should be completed no later than 30 days after child club training.
